A creamy smooth stout made with coconut milk and lactose for a somewhat sweet finish. This stout gets its name from the use of pure coconut milk and lactose (milk sugar) in the recipe, adding a creamy sweet body to the coffee and chocolate flavors of the roasted malts.

Nitro tap at the Gilded Otter. Pours a deep black with a thick tan head. Caramel and toffee, just a hint of young coconut (which I wonder if I would have detected withoun knowing there’s coconut in there. Body is a bit thin due to the nitro… I really wish they’d just put them on a regular tap. Lightly sweet with a nice roast character. Good coffee notes and some caramel. Finishes with a nice roasty bitterness and just a touch of astringency, and a little bit more sweetness.
