nice and refreshing with a touch of bitter. Fruit and grass in the nose with a mild aroma. Goes down a bit to watery but its kolsch.

[Bottle from Bonn.] Really bad beer. Had the smell of piss, but I think it must be a bad bottle. Anyway I’ll check it out next time I visit Bonn Bierbörse.

Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is gently dry. Overall an average kolsch.

33cl. bottle at home: Crisp pale gold with a thin white head. Malt, toasted bread, very light summer fruits and some low hop aroma. Hop character is grassy and piney. Overall aroma is quite mild. Hops are more present in the taste than in the aroma. Simple grainy pale malt character that get a little toasty just before hop bitterness comes back in and pushes the grain down. Starts a little sweet and slightly fruity and finishes with a little bread and some hop character. Could be drier.
