Bottle. Golden colour and a decent head. Hop, toast and flowery in aroma. Has a bitter heavily hopped flavour. Very dry and cardboard like. Not the best Kolsch I have tasted.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has primary notes of grain and straw, but also light notes of malt. The flavor is sweeet malty with a light touch of straw, leading to a bitter finish. A very delicate beer, but a bit boring.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught in Köln. Clear pale golen, rich fluffy head. Light grassy hoppy nose. Mid-sweet fruity and lightbodied with rounded mouthfeel. There’s notes of syrup and resin you don’t get in real kölsch. Late harsh bitterness. Big brewers should not attempt this delicate style...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Pale clear gold lasting thick white head. Some light lemon yeast and metal on the aroma. In the mouth it has better lemon meringue pie type fruit. It has a creamy quality. I must admit that it does taste fresh. Expected it to be stale as kolsch has to be drunk fresh to get the nuances but this is good. Very light and agile in the mouth with a full swallow and some light lemon hop bite on the finish. Good beer. 3.5/5 Re-rate in Gilden Haus in Koln.
