COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Heavy Scotch Ale with a pleasantly dark, warm, and malty body. An additional smattering of hops added during fermentation leaves a complementing floral aroma.

Taster at Gilgamesh The Campus. Dark copper color. Dark malty aroma. Taste is really intriguing, with subtle nutty roasted notes, sweet dark caramel, and a tinge of fruitiness. Finished really smooth for the alcohol content.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a clear darker brown color. Nose is definitely malt-forward, with a lot of toasty and caramel elements to it. Taste is similar and well-balanced, with toasting and caramel coming through. One of the better beers here, IMHO.

Bottle:   Caramel breadiness, some peat, a little toffee too.   Pretty tasty.   Nice maltiness, easy to drink.   Very small smidgen of dark pitted fruit.   Not real complex, but enjoyable and well made.

Reddish brown an even toned like a root beer. Sprucey hop aroma with light worty undertone. Taste has pleasant gingerbready notes, with hops stand in in for ginger. $5/22Oz

Salem Oregon. Draft. This is good beer. Iím not a fan or scotch ale, or malty beers, but this is a good drink. Much better beer than the IBU and beer family would indicate. I recommend it.

Enjoyed this 1-26-13 from tap @ Ventis: Pretty good beer, solid maltiness, slight metal. Like a beer-scotch blend, butterscotch finish. 8.5 BD; 10 Rod

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown. Aroma is malty. Med body. Flavor is sweet roast malt with something that might be smoke. Probably not. Seems to have light hop - maybe floral. Itís not very bitter, and itís lightly sweet.

On tap at Pizza Research Institute: Pours amber with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma of rich creamy caramel malts. Sweet, caramel and toasted malts, slightly bitter. Smooth, creamy, slight bitter finish. REally uniuqe, good hop balance with looks of sweet caramel.

Growler. Pours thick, dark orange-brown with a large head. Decent retention, minimal lace. Sweet toffee malt, floral hop aroma. Medium plus sweet flavor. Med body, smooth creamy texture, low carbonation, and a sticky, sweet finish. Very sticky.
