3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[24/12/15] Bottle from Clackamas Town Center: Hazy orange body with medium head. Nose is malty, sweet. Taste is okay, some spices, but quite nondescript. Quite thin in the texture.

Rating #1624 - #CBC2015 Beer 8 - Welcome Reception - I remember this vividly as this was the only booth at the show that looked like it was ready to be infield at Nascar - so far most of my beer servings had been from weird bearded dudes from Portland - this booth had can stacks that were 10-15 deep, and the hottest women I’ve ever seen at a beer show behind it. She was bouncing up and down telling me about this zero hop brew. At first impression, I’m giving this brewery almost zero cred, and expecting very little - but the black tea flavours actually work really well here, light peachy, tangerine sweetness. Weird.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Even honey brown color. Aroma is sweet malt, orange peel and soap. Taste is like a light apple juice with a faint vomity edge and almost no carbonation. $1.50

12 oz can from 7/1/2015. Think a friend brought it over and I lost it in the back of the fridge. Anyway, bottom’s up! Hazy orange pour with no head. Really no carb. Aroma has some citrus, but is also kinda cheesy. Very flat mouthfeel. More light citrus in the flavor, but man this needs carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Spice and candied fruit nose, also some butterscotch and dark tea. Deep amber color, thin filmy head. Sweet fruit initial, some mild citrus, and the sweetness returns. It all slithers away slowy. Sweet, but all very light. Unusual,w ith the tea notes. Not totally unpleasant.

1 Aug 2015, bottle. orange, hazy, no head. It looked more like juice than beer when poured. nose is straw malt, tea, and orange peel. Med/thin body and mildly fizzy. tastes like orange peel tea. It is sweet with some nice spices, but it is more tea than beer. meh.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Can from CBB, looks like the same bad batch as KL. An orange copper pour with no head beyond the first microsecond after pouring. Tangerine and buttery caramel popcorn doesn’t make for an inviting aroma. The taste is sour candied caramel with a tangerine sweetness, some yoghurt and a slick oily mouthfeel. I am guessing this suffered MASSIVELY in transit. Better from the can but no real tea element to it at all. FAIL. My first from Gilgamesh was a waste of money... also my first drain pour from the US in awhile, cloyingly sweet...

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can from CBB. Nose is orange, butter, tea, toffee. Sweet diacetyl and orange flavor, toffee, butterscotch. Completely gross. Obviously a problem with this one.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Light caramel malts and a touch of spice. Cloudy orange with a nice beige head. Pale malts, some light orange and not much else. This is a very thin and boring beer regardless of what they put in. After a minute I do get some peach on the pallet, but by then it is unwanted.
