Light amber colour. The aroma is soft, malty bitter. Light body, soft, very English with a malty character, touch of diacetyl and a creamy cask finish. Underhopped, though.

Draft at brewpub. Amber with scattered lace Bland nutty malt aroma with late plastic. The palate is oily and laden with butter but yields to a toffee and lightly toasted malt finish

(On tap) Beautiful clear amber colour with a small, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, fruit and nuts. Medium body, a little low in carbonation with sweetish - almost exotic - fruit accents. Smooth and lightly hoppy finish. 040508

Bottle: Amber with fluffy, but white, minimal head. Yeasty, fruit aroma. Biscuit and subtle fruit tastes with a good, dry finish. Somewhat "thin", could do with more body.

Bottle: Pours copper in color with a brief head. Fruity aroma. Sweet dates, mild citrus, accompanied by a toasted barley subtlety. Has a toffee-ish malt character, light prune suggestions, and a rounded mouth feel. Toasty with a mild bitterness, yet it’s lacking hop character in my own opinion.

Hazy amber with a minimal head. Initial aroma smells a bit of Belgian-type yeast, but subsides to fruity orange and some chewy malt. The flavour is a bit meek, showing some light bitterness. Light bodied and a bit metallic, but lasting and well carbonated.

BottledHazily amber, brief head. Fruity aroma with notes of melon and orange. Medium bodied and lightly salty with some bready malt tones. Low bitterness. A light and easy going offering.

Krasulak (88) - Wapadrand, Pretoria, SOUTH AFRICA - FEB 22, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2009 Aroma of malt (light bread), floral hops, fruity. Amber colour somewhat cloudy. Fizzy off-white head that fully diminished without lacing. Tastes of sweet malt, fruity with a touch of nuttyness. Finishes sweetly with no hop bitterness to speak of. Medium body with a rather watery texture. Very soft carbonation - almost flat. Overall a tasty brew but could use a bit more balancing hop bitterness.
