2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 IslandHaole (1060) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, - NOV 8, 2010
(Can) A hazy orange/caramel color with a big rocky beige head. A very sweet nose, treacle, spun honey, cookie dough, with a hint of hoppy resin.
Sweet, thin, a bit tinny. A disappointing effort from this otherwise solid brewery.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 larsga (4684) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 12, 2012
Medium creamy offwhite head. Hazy opaque pale amber body. Faint mealy fruity aroma. Dry-sweet resiny taste with mealy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish grape and resin aftertaste with mealy strawberry notes. Nice, pleasant, but not great. (0.33l draft at Sunset Beer Garden, Sendai.)
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 3, 2012
Can from the local supermarket. Pale slightly cloudy orange colour with fast fading white head. Aroma is caramel and citrus hoppy. Bit weird. Bit of fruit in there too, apple and pear. Taste is bit too sweet, caramel is there in the background, but the sweetness is full on. Some fruitiness and a bit of a bitter finish, but it is all about the sweetness. Surprisingly flat in the mouth. I don’t mind it in a weird way, but will probably not have it again.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 EdKing (944) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2012
Colour is light brown, cloudy. Nose is touch of hop fruit, malty caramel and a bit of metallic from the can, which isn’t so nice. Taste is a very biscuity malty beer, with a bit of ale fruit and slightly sour and bitter fruit. No citrous at all. Bit of caramel in there too. Not an American pale ale and a strange version of a British pale ale, but it’s drinkable, if not memorable.

Can. An unclear light amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of brewmash and grain. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, brewmash, caramel, straw, and a bit of malt, leading to a dry metallic finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

Dark yellow colored with cloudy appearance, little yellow head. Grassy hopped aroma with safty lemon note. Medium bodied. Flavor is more peachy in start, aftertaste turns to grassy and slightly floral. Decent one.
