Bottle shared with Vi, Ken and Daddy Vuong - bottle purchased at a random Japanese food Mart in the east Village. The bottle has 4 stars on it and a couple of reindeer, and considering the style matched Im assuming this is the corresponding entry. Pours a deep hazy orange body with white lacing. Aroma is light, but very wheat and some citrus and clove as well. Mouthfeel is light, creamy and refreshing with notes of citrus, clove and wheat. Simple, but a well-executed German/Asian Hefe.

Bottle at Sosuke Ryokan, Takayama, Room 8 – shared with Mette. Cloudy yellow – white head. Wheaty, spicy, coriander, citrus zesty, orange zesty, fruity, spicy, light sweetness, light light banana notes, yeasty. Classic – plain. (5/2/5/3/11)

Light brown hazy colour. Average short head. Bit sweetish aroma of wheat, yeast and malt. Fizzy flavour with some sweetness, wheatness, maltiness, yeast and some bitterness. The normal Ginga Kogen weiss is better but this one is a nice alternative.
