A slightly hazy medium gold color with a big foamy head. As Mark says, "another great brew from Ginga Kogen". These folks are right on target, one of the best Japanese breweries! A very nice Weiss. No adjuncts, remarkable for a Japanese beer!

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2008 Bottle... Poured cloudy yellow with a thin head. Aroma was citrusy and yeasty with some spices and ginger. Lots of carbonation with sweet spices and baked fruit notes, coriander, and roasted yeast-like flavors.

Tasted @ GJBF Yokohama: Cloudy, nice head and lacing. Nose of light sweet spicy yeast, lots of coriander, light orange, a bit wheaty and some yeast in the tail. Good finish.

Fancy can. Hazy yellow coloured. Wheaty aroma and flavour with rubber notes. Very light and quite bland.

Hazy light golden appearance. Creamy white foam. Lemony and wheaty aroma. Quite thin flavour of sticky wheat malts. Short aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2005 Canned, thanks IslandHaole! Hazy yellow, small head. Banana aroma. Esters and sweetness aretoned down. The mouthfeel is soft, and it’s solidly malty. Well made and fairly refreshing authentic hefeweizen.

Has orange peel, smoke and cloves in the nose. Nice light body, slightly sour and yeasty and then a refreshing orange peel finish. Still too watery for me.

12 ounce can. Thanks to IslandHaole for this one. Hazy straw pour with big, white head. Aroma of hopcit, lemongrass, banana, cloves. Tastes hopcity, with a smoothness at the finish and notable complexity. Nice.

Thanks to IslandHaole for the brew! Hazy light gold pour, small head. Light yeasty aroma, light hops. Good light clean flavor, some wheat, yeasty and light fruity tones, light hop bite. Best canned beer I’ve had yet!

A very nice weissen. It has a very clean and crisp flavor and aroma, a very easy beer to drink.
