Bottle:
Thanks to Benzai for sharing:
Small (off) white head turns into a lacing quick, on top of a clear dark orange colored beer.
Smells like a pilsner with some good malts and sweets added as well as some bacteria.
Taste is more Lambic-ish with sweets, malts and some dried hops.
Aftertaste of elderly dried hops with a touch of sour, sweets and wood.
Low carbo, tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a watery texture.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (7494) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 14, 2011
750ml bottle (ChrisO Pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" Shindig)
Sugary faro aroma. Pleasant tartness, but loads of sugar without being sticky. Simple and drinkable. Pretty good finesse, I doubt many people apart from Girardin or 3F could do something this sweet without making it slick. (And when I drank this, I didn’t know it was Girardin, I only had the beer name.)

Clear dark orange / light amber color. Smell sweet with sour hints and barnyard. Aftertaste earth and ash. Taste sweet, artificial. Carbo and body ok.

Bottled@The Chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011 "Donkey Dork Lord Edition". Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and some slight spicy notes. Flavour is sugary, wooden, mild sourness as well as some mildly tart wooden notes. Very nicely balanced and not overly sweet.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scopey (3229) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours orange-amber with a thin foamy white head . The nose is sweet caramel, pear, red apple and ice-tea. The taste is pear, tangy peach, sweet apple, ice-tea, sour lime and white sugar with some underlying sourness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. As Faros go this wasn’t too bad.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 planky84 (1631) - , Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011
Bottle at Chris O’s pre GBBF shindig. Amber pour. Toffee and caramel aroma. Sweet flavour. Does exactly what a Faro normally does, no complaints here.
