clear amber, large thick smoth offwhite head.
dry aroma of brett, stable, fruits, balanced, and hinting at a good sour experience.
flavor is bitter, brett, berries in the background, sweetness, not much sourness, still comes off as a nice bittersweet bretty slightly sour thing.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Maria (7805) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2009
It’s a beautiful brown-red/copper color and the head is small. The aroma has notes of sweetness, sourness, peal of citrus fruits and some cane sugar. The flavour has sweetness and sourness with notes of peal of grapefruit and oranges, a tart grapefruit that develops and some sour berries also are found. Now, I’m not a Faro specialist in any way, but I prefer the Lindemans... 2334 (had forgotten to ad this rating 2 years old)

Bottle shared at Andy’s tasting. Think this one may have been from Andy, not sure though. My first Faro. Pours a hazy light brown with a thin white head. Aromas are coffee, toffee, and vanilla. Sweet, with a touch of brown sugar. Light finish with a touch of bitterness. Not even close to what I was expecting, but this was still fairly tasty.

Bottle: Amber pour with a dense tan head. Has a sweet & tart aroma of caramelized sugar, as well as Swiss cheese and moldy oxidized notes. Creamy & velvety palate. Has a smooth sugary sweetness and a papery molded note. Some cheese rind funk as well. The sugar works well in this example.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 lassem (631) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 7, 2009
Bottle 35 cl. My first Faro to rate. Pours a rather clear kobber with an off-white head. The nose is a little metallic with some sour apples and a little vanilla. All together the aroma is rather low key. The taste is sweet with buttery undertones and finish - and thus a fat palate. There is also some dried prunes and plums, and finaly brown sugar. ... Makes you burb..cool
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TaxiDriver (1372) - Stadland, GERMANY - APR 6, 2009
bottle. The aroma is sour, reminds me a little bit of cider vinegar. The head is relatively large, white and creamy, the duration is long. The body is orange and cloudy. The first taste started sour, then it gets a little bit sweeter, the duration is medium. The body is light, very dry and light watery with lively carbonation. A good beer.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Smells a bit of athlete’s feet. Tart with Fruity aromas. Quite tart for a faro. Quite citric. Tiny hints of metals and bog myrtle. Medium body. High carbonation. Tart and citric finish with a tiny hint of diacetyl.
