Thanks to Fordest for sharing. Pours amber with a minimal white head. Aroma of burnt candied sugar, however the burnt sugar aroma is quick to dissipate. Flavors were sweet and tart.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2010 bottle by way of glouglouburp.1/20/2008

rich copper colored pour with a short lived vigorous white head. seems pretty dark, no? it smells sweet and grainy yet still tart and dusty... aromas include caramel, cement, leather and red apple cider with warming spices. same thing goes for the flavor.... it*s a mix of sweet and sour i*ve not yet sampled. flavors of sweet bruised red apples, caramel, dust, copper/minerals and yeast with a mild soft tartness. the finish is dry and grainy with some cinnamon creeping in as it warms. medium to rich bodied. it*s rather thick and oily but parching and dry at the same time.

neato... 8/4.5/7.5/4/16/4.0

bottle 1/2/2010 from nbutler11 it smells incredibly slate-y/mineraly with a ton of sweet caramel grain. the flavor is full of apple, raisin and fruity sweetness with funky dusty yeast lingering in the background. again, full bodied but still dry... 8/4/8/4/16/4.0

Bottle, pours a nice golden hazy colour, the taste is very smooth with a bit of dryness and a hint of souriness at the back, very nice offering, good example of the style

Clear light brown pour with a thin white head. Bready caramel and acetic dark fruits lead to a curious Flemish Red like profile, finishing with sweet funky nectar, lemon juice, and white grape. Medium body with low carbonation and a puckery sweet finish. Yummy!

Tasting at ZBF. Clear amber color with a small head. Aroma is sour with some sweetness. Taste is a good balance between sour and sweet. Nice brew.

10 L Cardboard box: Clear dark amber coloured. No head. Sweet and fruity aroma. Has a light sourness in the background. Flavour is a good mix of sweet fruityness and some sourness. Maybe a little too much sweetness. Ends acidic and dry with some great grapenotes. Thanks Jacob for sharing.

Bottle: Starts sour than will change lightly to sweet. Hints of citrus, caramel that makes a well balance.

Light hazy amber color. Small white head. Smell is like apple cider. Green musty apple accents with nice honeyed tones. Taste is soft and refreshing. It has a nice crisp, a good soury sharpness and a great balance. A great summer drink.

375, corked and baled. Thanks clint. Pours a cloudy dark brown with golden brown edges. Loose slim tan rim. Big funky nose, lots of raw barnyard showing. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Sweet candi sugar on the mid palate. Sweet refreshing and delicious.

Sampled at the Carolina Crew tasting thanks to OldStyleCubFan - thanks, Todd! It pours a fine amber/garnet color with fine carbonation. The nose is initially deep and floral, but deepens with a soft, mead-like quality. While there are dry, tart undertones to the taste, the muscat and honey notes come through to make this a delicious blend, with a nicely bitter finish. Really fine, a happy introduction to the style.
