Red colour with a nice light red head. It is quite sparkling. The raspberry aroma is very natural. The flavour is very refreshing and nice. It is surprisingly sweet, but still far from Mort Subite, BelleVue, De Troch etc. The wonderful complexity of Girardin Gueuze is present in the background. A truly briliant thirst quencher.

Mine was a little corked. It is clear that the ingredients in this beer are totally natural. Absolutely no artificial add-ons at all. Pure quality and a nice thirst quencher. Nice complexity between the sweetness and the sourness in this brew.

Pale red colour, rosy. No head. Nose of raspberry jam, and somewhere an aroma which you usually hang in your smallest chamber, after seeing it advertised on ITV by a skipping housewife. Taste : raspberry jam again; including slight acidity, fruit acids, fruit sugars and pectines! Very flat, some stickiness - from the pectine? Aftertaste is raspberry flavour again. Disappointing. Could be so much more, with just a bit more lambic character (and somewhat less... perfume, let's call it)

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium amber, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a strong note of fresh raspberries. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The least of the Girardin brews...lacks the commanding sourness and barnyard complexities of the others. Even so, very good.

Aroma of raspberry sirup. Sweet with a very long finish. A little bit too sweet for me.

Nice sparkling beer, almost no head. Aroma of raspberries. Quite sweet taste, raspberries, green apples, slightly sour. A little too sweet for my taste, but a nice refreshing beer.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2003 Had this in some park on a warm summers day in Brussels. Very nice and refreshing, but in contrast to the gueuze, it was quite sweet, but still tart enough and slightly sour enough to be passaable, and passable it is, lots of rasberry flavour, a little earthy, i just wish it were a little less sweet.

Rasberry red clear colour with small fading pink head. Strong sweet rasberry and lighter green apples sour aromas. Light bodied but still plenty of flavour, rasberry mainly of course, but there is enough lambic character there to still make it interesting. Palate and flavours moderately well balanced across the sweet-sour considering the strong sweetness in the aroma. Light clean dry finish.

Ruby red in colour with quite a sparkle. Not as sour as the Cantillons of this world which I prefer. Still commendable and a nice change from other beer styles.
