3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blafa (447) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - JUN 27, 2011
Pours red with a minimal foam that vanishes almost instantly. The aroma is heavy with sweet raspberries. Smells almost like the processed raspberry mix my grandmother used to make. Sweet raspberries and something that reminds me of lemon zest hits me when taking a sip. The taste is followed by more mature raspberries and end quite sour and bitter with a grapefruit note. Quite one dimensional but overall a very drinkable beer
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 lushawn (2161) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 15, 2011
bottle. sweet creamy rasberry cream balanced by some lemony yogurt lambic. liked the fruit character better in this than the kriek, though both mask the awesome raw girardin lambic character. though i enjoyed drinking this quite a bit. actually reminded me of new glarus raspberry tart, with more lactic acid and citrus.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 77ships (745) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 28, 2011
bottle@WoSF 2011: amber/brown with an off-white head, smell is candy sugar, raspberry jam & syrup, taste follows smell, very sweet with jam & syrup, slightly sour with hop, cloying, slightly tart, fuzzy
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rciesla (5500) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2011
Bottle. Pours a blush bruin body with a light pink and off white head with a light retention and no lacing. Aromatically tart raspberries and hint of cranberries. Light raspberry and apple puree and a mild sense of sweetness in the aroma. Tart funky body with a lick of prickly raspberry seeds and some light funk. A light spritzy sweetness in the body a light sugar note, a hint of acidity but i cant help but feel something is missing. A light body feels a bit thin up front with a light berry sweetness, actually very low acidity very low tartness very little wild funk or barnyard feel. Not your classic nutty/seedy finish. Just feels a bit thin, soft and with a hint of lemon and raspberries. Still nice but i want more depth in a good framboise.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 teorn88 (567) - Rimini, ITALY - MAY 9, 2011
375ml bottle. Pours deep orange with ruby shades and small pinky head. Aroma is mostly sweet and fruity with red berries and strawbeeries. Hidden behind the fruitiness there’s the typical Girardin funk. Little tartness. Taste is sweet and fruity at beginning, than funk and barnyard notes get life. Finishes tart and dry. Medium body and good carbonation. Really easy to drink, but too much on the sweet side to me.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (6146) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 25, 2011
Bottle via a trade. Pours with a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma is a bit candyish. Raspberries, light funk and syrup. Flavors are sour, light funk, some acid, a touch acetic, raspberry (sweet). Sour, dry, acidic raspberry with medium bubbles. A bit sweet, but not nearly as bad as some offenders. Decently balanced.
