3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 madsberg (7570) - Søborg, DENMARK - DEC 18, 2004
Bottled: LIght hazy red coloured. Dense beige lasting head. Head has a light red touch. Raspberries and a light sourness in the aroma. NIce. Flavour has a pleasant sourish fruitsweetness. Wood and tart note, though not as obvious as in other lambics from this fine brewery. Quite refreshing and cleansing. A nice treat.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopscotch (7542) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 4, 2007
Bottle… Hazy ruby ale with a small, creamy, white head. Raspberry Jolly Rancher-sweet aroma with lesser notes of black tea and simple syrup. The flavor offers up good balance although it does lean slightly toward the sour. Good fruity sweetness and moderate bitterness. Nothing sharp… pleasantly dull around the edges. Medium-bodied with an abrasive mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet and tart finish. Thanks to boboski for supplying the bottle!

Bottled, Filtered?. Brown pink with pink fluffy head. Slightly better than normal fruit beer, forced Raspberry almost pear drop, and certainly sweet. More like drinking Dentist mouthwash.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2005
UPDATED: APR 3, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle from the Belgian Belly. I must be honest right away and say I was expecting more from this one. That said it is very good stuff all the same. Where is the sour funk and barnyard from the wonderful kriek? So far, and I am sure this will change, the best framboise I have had is the Boon. This was not quite as good. I am quite sad. Ok doom and gloom over. All said and done, it’s a fruit beer, tastes great, lovely framboise nose to finish. Very nice but not genius
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2004
I'm not often a fan of Belgian fruit beers (Kriek excepted), or any fruit beers for that matter, as too many are made in a commercial style and end up sickly sweet. Well, this certainly does have some sweetness, but this is tempered by the tart acidic notes that come from using a decent lambic as the base. Still not my favourite style, but one of the better examples that I have experienced. Bottled, London Drinker beer festival.

Bottle. Red-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is raspberry, candy. Flavour is raspberry, sour, sweet, yeast. Nice beer.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - FEB 19, 2012
7/10/11/8/6/8
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hopdog (7053) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 23, 2007
Bottle. Poured a reddish-brown color with a small sized red/pink head. Aromas of fresh-juicy-hairy raspberries, cranberries, and also reminded me of Kool-Aid (in a good way!). I really like the berry quality in the aromas. Tastes of tart raspberries, all around berries, and some wood. Lightly tart finish.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 JoeMcPhee (6967) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2008
Deep pink colour. Aroma is quite sweet and loaded with juicy raspberry aroma. Not a lot of stuff going on in here... fruity sweetness. Quite candyish and sweet. Pretty simple really.
