Commercial Description:
Unfiltered.

Bottle. Pours golden brown. A slot of sour funkiness in this one. Belgian yeast, and spoiled fruit. Nice tingling mouth cleansing mouth feel. A solid number.

Ah, the golden goddess. Aroma of band-aids soaking in something sterile and medicinal along with some woody brine. Mouthfeel is tremendous. My tongue is not worthy of this. Bracing rubber and grapefruit tang near the end of a beautifully intoxicating session on my tastebuds. Truly, this is a world classic. I liked the 3 Fonteinen, but this is way out front of that. Desert Island beer!

Pours a beautiful, glowing gold with a foamy, white head. Strong soured fruit aroma of Belgian yeast and citrus. Taste is a similar soured fruit citrus at first. This settles very smoothly into a sweet tart, bready finish. Tastes like it underwent a secondary with some champagne yeast. Nice carbonation kick. Very complex palate, especially as it warms.

Golden color with a med-large head. Aroma is tremendous - funky and sour with some nice barrel effects and citrusy goodness. Flavor was a bit heavy on the citrus at first, but settled nicely into a funky-sour masterpiece - citrus, earth, and wood. Nice mouthfeel with a good pucker factor. A really good gueuze that I need more of.

Delicious gueuze and all it’s cracked up to be. Thanks, mcbackus! Aroma was big and nice. Strong funk, barnyard floor and wet blanket. Pour was a nice bubbly orange with a pillowy 2 finger off white head. Taste was nice and mouth puckering. Strong wood, earth and funk with a hint of cheese and vinegar. Complex and absolutely delicious. Heaven in a bottle.

Don’t have pets so the "cat pee smell" I can’t truly associate with. This beer is a hazy gold with a small white ring of a head. Aroma is extremely sour with hints of grapefruit and oak. Taste is extremely puckering...you can feel it in the jaw and throat. Interesting but I probably wouldn’t purchase again...especially at the $$$.
