lassem (296), Copenhagen, Denmark Feb 23, 2008 A top beer among the geuzes....! This one is extremely balanced. It has the perfect sourness balanced with a great malty body and slight sweetnes..... Well, it is still a geuze with the nuances of horsestable, hay and vomit. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 19, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle, courtesy Tony at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a cloudy yellow golden color, with a smooth watery head, and vibrant sheets of lacing. Very barnyard aroma, with salty meat and wheat. Tart ripe fruit flavors, vinegar, citrus, warm bread. Slight tartness to the watery body, bitter finish. Quite good. ratman197 (3139), Arvada, Colorado, USA Feb 16, 2008 Green corked and caged bottle poured a clear orange with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of leather, vinous, light barnyard, oak and light citrus. Palate was light bodied crisp and tart. Flavors of leather, oak, citrus and light barnyard with a crisp dry lingering tart finish. Scauca (408), Lovere, Italy Feb 14, 2008 Very good sour complex gueuze. Fruity, cheesy, sweat, playin’ cards, woody. Beware of gushing!! Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Feb 13, 2008 C&C 375ml bottle from slob - thanks Bert! Clear gold with a thin white head. Tart, lightly funky nose, a very light woodiness, apricot and mild cat piss. Sour/tart flavor, somewhat acidic, dry and dusty, Granny Smith apple, wood.. SO much going on here... some sour white grape, a pop of vinegar, gets drier.. jeez.. very good stuff. Finish is dry, lightly fruity, dust. I love this beer... white grapefruit peeks in at the end. Lovely! bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Feb 13, 2008 Bottled thanks to Engelsman. Hazy orange coloured with a rather large off-white head. Very well balanced and very nice complexity. Citrus, smoke, fruit. Very nice tartness. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 13, 2008 Pours a nice golden amberish color that has a decent whitish head that rises and falls fairly quickly. Nose is bringing the funk. Minor antiseptic tones are mixed with a more dominatingly sweet character. Flavor is great. Nice sour tang. Wonderful level of funk. Well done. Very smooth feel. This is so easy to drink. Does it come in gallons?? hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Feb 7, 2008 Bottle, acquired in a trade with Tertons. Hazy light orange in color with a small off white head. Aroma is funky as hell with barnyard, stinky cheese, as well as sour lemons. Taste is moderately sour with alot of sour fruit, oak, earth, and quite funky with barnyard and sweaty socks. Hints of black pepper. Finishes with lingering sourness. Very nice, thanks alot Nelson.
