RCL (973), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 17, 2007 Very nice representative of the style. Has a gently sophisticated funkiness to it. Sourness is not overpowering either. Just a hint of spice at the end.
BMan1113VR (667), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pours with a small white head covering a yellow body with plenty of particles. aroma is sour, fruity with leather melons and citrus. Taste is sour all the way through with a bit of sweetness towards the finish. Dry mouthfeel with lively bubbles. bleeng (267), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Jul 25, 2008 375 ml purchased in Belgium April 2007. The cork blew when I took off the cage-fortunately no injuries reported. Gold, filtered with a small white head. Nose of bitterness, funk, tons of aroma-nice. Taste of astringency, bitterness, tartness, pucker-nish just so nice and right. Wonderfully drinkable and refreshing-wish I would have loaded up on this one. Great beer. O anche per il dopopranzo, un vizietto come quello che mi sto concedendo io. mar (519), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 19, 2008 bottle thanks to bhops. nice fruity tart smell and a murky gold pour with no head. easy on the palate and the sour/tartness is actually quite controlled. it’s definitely not overpowering and it’s not underpowered. this is a great balanced gueuze. Bhops (170), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 19, 2008 Updated: Jul 25, 2008Oh my. Pours hazy gold, aroma is sour fruit and musty/yeasty. Flaovr is fruity, not too sour... medium mouthfeel.
