Bottle from Barley Wine Cph. Pours deep straw coloured, no head. Unusual tones of honey wax plus wet wood, white vinegar, unripe apples and citrus. The taste tart at first, but the warmer it gets the sweeter honey tones grows to a well balanced and really descent geuze that lacks the funky stable character that signifies the best of them. A little tart bitterness in the end adds balance and complexity to it´s favour.

typical gueuze smell of fruity vinegar, colour of mahogany with white lacing on top, strong sour fruity vinegar flavour acidic and wineish, nice stuff.

Alengrin (1210) - BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2014
The filtered version of the famous Girardin geuze, watered down a bit with their Ulrich Lager and sweetened, but not overtly so. Hazy orange colour, medium off-white head. Sourish and very fruity aroma, bit lemony, subdued funkiness but still believable. Taste likewise, fruity, sweetness shining through but fortunately in a restrained and subtle way, smooth, soft sourishness, refreshing; not as complex as the black label version but a good introduction to the style.

ClubGonzo (3993) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2014
On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a clear deep amber-hued orange body with a small white head. Nose is red berries, horseblanket, straw, citric peel and hints of peaches and peppers. Taste is bitter herbs, straw, horse blanket, mild smokey tones and hints of red berries, apple vinegar and citric peel. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation. An elegant geuze with an original, herbal touch. Good stuff.

Orange, white thin head. Fizzy carbonation. Sour with light sweetness. Wood and malt very present. Not my cup of gueuze.

37,5cl bottle thanks to ruigo. Color is orange, head is thin and white. Body is somewhat smooth but still mediumly carbonated. Taste is medium sour. Aroma is herby, earthy, cellarish.

Shared 75cl bottle with a friend. Poured a pale amber golden colour with a white head. Sour apples, citrus, oak, grain, not much to say about it. Black label is Way better! Why would you even filter it...

Ähnlich dem white label, jedoch von der front her weitaus fruchtiger und von him- und Erdbeeren dominiert. Dann wirds laffer, etwas dünner und unperliger. Dennoch großes kino.

Bottle kindly shared by Bamsen78 - many thanks! Pours out in a hazy ligth dirty amber colour with low airy head and medium body. Aroma of acid and berries. Taste of unripe raspberries fresh from the fields, acid, vinegar and light malt. Mild and soft finish. Nice one but not characterloaded enough.
