Somewhat cardy and flat, the off notes aren’t so much in the welcome funkiness but a murkiness, not light or spritzy at all. Maybe an old bottle?

Aroma of malt, sweet wine, fruits, oak, light barnyard funk. Flavour is moderate sweet and only moderate sour. Decent Gueuze, but the Black Label, which is one of my favourite beers, is so much better.

Clear dark amber pour into a coffee mug souvenir that I got in Germany because this little shitty hotel does not have any glasses or cups. Nice fluffy white head. Funky and slightly sour nose. Lightly funky taste and a nice amount of sourness. Crisp. Quite nice.

Bottle 0,375l. Pours a clear amber colour with a long lasting cream coloured head. Aroma of malt, honey, and sweet wine. Tastes surprisingly little sweet; some sourness with tart aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Henriks. Clear golden with little to no head. Aroma of apple cider, hay and some acidic sour notes. Taste is pretty straight forward, lightly sour, semi-dry with faint apple notes and dried hay. Fizzy and light bodied.

Mortlach (981) - Rome, ITALY - OCT 18, 2014
Bottle shared @ Bir & Fud Bottega. Dorata pallida, torbida, nonostante su ratebeer risulti "filtrata", schiuma media molto persistente.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a dark orange colour, big long lasting white frothy head. Aroma has distinct notes of leather and basement aromas, and hints of barnyard and earth; very complex and pleasant. Taste is medium sour, not extreme; well-balanced. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation.

Hazy orange in colour with that unmistakable musty barnyard scent. A bit thin for the style.

Golden yellow beer, nice small head. Tart aroma with some citrus, cider and sweet hints. The taste has both funkyness, tartness, fruityness and a nice dry finish. Lively coarbantion. Dry and good.

Bottle at Øltorget, september 16th 2014. Clear golden body with no head. Funky aroma with barnyard, lemons, sour taste of apples, horse blanket, mild sweetness in the back, funky apple aftertaste. A nice one, though I have no idea why they filter it

Bottle at home. Pours clear amber; long lasting cream coloured head. Aroma of malt, honey, and sweet wine. Tastes surprisingly little sweet; some sourness with tart aftertaste. A bit thin bodied, but not bad for 5 % gueuze.
