4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 blklab2007 (1422) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Bottle through recent trade 2009 on the cork. Pour has a bright golden orange color with a fizzy covering of white head that fell to a ring. Aroma has white grape, dry citrus, yeast, and light dusty acidity. Mouth feel is light and crisp and there is medium carbonation. Flavor gets a bit sharper, medium light acidity, dry citrus, white grape, and some dusty yeast. Not as good as the black for me but overall quite nice and extremely drinkable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2012
Bottle: Not sure which vintage:
Creamy of white vast but lively head, disappears slow. A nice clear orange amber colored lambic with a vast thicker creamy lacing on top.
Smell is a delicious and bolder than usual. A nice mix of caramel, wood, hint of old cellar, hint of yeast, light light dusty and some light barley kind of sweetness. Really fond of the smell!
Taste is also a very nice blend of sweeter barley malts, light bitter, some cheese, hint of something sugary, flowers, earth tones. Just a hint of something sour, some spicy mouthfeel tones and a light dry bitterness. All very well mixed.
In the aftertaste you taste the older hops, older malts a slight yeasty touch and very light bitter. Light dry but still tasty and full flavoured.
Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture.
Delicious beer, very well executed and very tasty with a smooth palate.

25/II/2012 37.5cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - 2009 vintage (2012-157)
Clear reddish amber beer, big off-white head, pretty stable, very adhesive leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, green apple, wood, vinous and the obvious bretta of course, a little sweet touch. MF: low carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sour start, apple skin, bitter woody touch. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, sour brett notes, dry woody finish. It’s good, but nothing like the black label!
