3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 craftycarl21 (1584) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 3, 2010
Bottle at T’ Brugs Beertje in Bruges. Black cherry colored pour with a big rose-colored head. Aroma holds light cherry, sweet fruity funk, and some hay- more subtle than many krieks. Flavor is very light and fruity, and the spontaneous fermentation isn’t quite as aggressive as I would like. Palate is light and crisp. Nice, but not on the level of Girardin’s black label.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Allen (2394) - SWITZERLAND - JUL 29, 2010
Bottled 375ml. Ordered from erzbiershop.ch. Good head retention. Reminiscence of marzipan and yoghurt throughout. Balanced. Not really my kind of kriek.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 atze (14) - Haarlem, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2010
Bottle 37.5 BB 2010,
pours hazy red, with a frothy pink head. Light, slightly sweet, cherry aroma. Taste is a nice mix of sweet and sour, though quite dry. Finish is also dry and slightly sour. Nothing fancy, but a very descent kriek nonetheless.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 KAggie97 (3170) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2010
Bottle at Palace Hotel, Poperinge, Belgium. Pours an amber raspberry with an aroma of peel-the-paint-off-the-car sour cherry. Flavor is subdued cherry with a finish of tart and light raspberry. A bit watery on the tongue. Good beer but this one was aged a bit too long. It’s lost its intensity.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 piscator34 (1582) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 17, 2010
Bottled sample. Rose in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of cherry cordial syrup, backed by some flaked wheat. Sweet cherry upfront in the mouth, along with pumpkin pie spices (mace, cinnamon, etc.). Fairly sweet on the palate, but the finish is mercifully tart. More like a semi-sweet dessert beer than a serious sour kriek. Not bad.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 RCL (2025) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Aroma has a nice hint of vanilla in it - it’s like smelling a cherry cake with vanilla frosting. Medium + tartness level. Flavor has the fruit right up front, but with a drier, elegant finish. Really nice.
