Bottle sampled on 9/3/09: Transparent blood red with a clingy, well-lacing light pink head. Aroma of semi-sweet fresh cherries and some tart oaky character. Starts with good fullness and fine carbonation with a hint of lightly sweet pale malts and fruity cherries revealing vinous oaky notes and puckering acidity toward the finish. Pretty well-balanced for the style with good fruity complexity.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2011 (bottle) pours a clear perfect ruby colour with a frothy light pink head. aroma of fresh cherry pulp and hay, some citrus, lots of vanilla and a slight doughiness. flavour is mostly cherries, initially quite sweet, with some notes of wheat, citrus, light sour funk, peaches, a hint of herbal hops and a medicinal dry finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation. not very complex, but nicely balanced.

Pours a deep red with aromas of sour, light cherries. The body was medium and was sour, tart. Cherries seeped through enough and it was smoothe and easy.

375mL white label. Wow- seriously sucked again. Pours artificial looking deep pink with a thin pink head- no lace. Aroma is slight sour cherries, some cherry candies. Taste is very sweet like cherry cough syrup. Gross.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ygberg (139) - SWEDEN - MAR 10, 2010
Aroma of funk and fruits. Appearance is ruby-red with small white head. Taste is sour with a clear taste of fruits. Overall a very pleasant beer that’s not as complex as some other fruit lambics.

Simile al kriekenlambik, è una delle kriek tradizionali più dolci che mi sia capitato di assaggiare; però è comunque acida e buona, rinfrescante, meno sgarbata dei capolavori di Cantillon ma piuttosto godibile.

Cask, New Oxford, Salford. Deep cherry red colour with a good sized pillowy light pink head. Quite a looker. Sour cherry aroma with a healthy dose of barnyard funk.. Flavour is gently sour and there is a lovely subtleness here which is quite enchanting. Vinuous with notes of wood and almond. Just loads happening to tantalise your taste buds. Top class.
