bottle brought back from belgium. Good cherry flavors, some light lambic funk in the back, on the sweeter side, pretty nice.

375ml bottle from Belgian e-shop Dark red color, a bit hazy with off white-pink head. Aroma of cherries, tartness and diacetyl. Diacetyl is very nice contribution and combo, but I don’t know if it’s a conscious choice. Taste is the same, some diacetyl and cherries, funky notes and quite refreshing. Very dry, has notes of acetic acid but very positively. Tart aftertaste some not ripe fruits. Medium boy, high carbonation, beautiful brew.

375ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, courtesy of skullgeorge. Dark amber color with off white head. Funky fruity aroma, cherry, light dusty barnyard notes. Sweet and light sour dry taste like the aroma. Medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation.

375 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy, somewhat flakey pinkish red with a resilient, whitish-pink head. Aroma is cherry, tart. Flavor is loads of fruit, mostly cherry, some oldish, dusty and woody. Finish is loads of tartness, some fruitiness (unripe). Rather dry. Medium to full body, soft, velvety and creamy mouthfeel, average to strong carbonation. Solid.

Troebel rood bier met schuim. Smaak is droog en licht zuur met kers, en houtachige smaak. Goed bier, echter mij iets te droog en zuur.

Theydon_Bois (11647) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2014
Bottle at Kunstemaecker, Steenkerke, 17/10/14. Cherry red with a well appointed crimson covering. Nose is tangy cherries, woody must, light spice, cherry skins, hint of smoke. Taste comprises tarte cherry skins, cherry tinged straw, musty wood rinse, tangy berry fruit, light smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light acidic vibes. Ok cherry kriek, fairly mellow but not without some depth.

375ml bottle served in a wine glass. Enjoyed in Treviso-IT. Bottle expiration: End of 2013. A: Pours a dark red (cherry) color forming a big and fizzy rose head. Soapy and bubbled. Good retention and lots of lingering lacings formed and left in the glass S: Sweet and fruity. Cherry juice, a bit sour and syrupy. Mild Lambic style yeasts T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of cherries. Mild sourness, a bit vinegar. A bit syrupy too. Notes of sweet malts and wood. End is light bitter M: Light body and good carbonation. Cherry, light sourness and bitterness in the aftertaste O: Quite smooth and easydrinking. I was expecting a much more sour beer. Perhaps a little bit too sweet and and syrupy than I was expecting too but still a nice Kriek [ BA Review @ 4/2/2013 ]
