Ruby red with a large pinkish white head. Aroma is sweet and light tart cheeries, almond, vanilla, sweet berry yoghurt. Taste is light to medium sweet, soft fruity tartness. Finish is sweet berries with some vanilla and almond, tart cherries, some lemon juice and yoghurt. Medium bodied, soft to average carbonation
Not much complexity but good sweet and juicy lambic.

Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Light tart smell with some funk and cherries. Similar taste. Fairly light compared to the our sours I had this evening. Light tart and cherries in the background.

750ml bottle. Dark pink with firm readish head. Aroma is ripe sweet cherries. Mouthfeel is sweet, extremely cherry forward with loads of fruit sweetness. Finish is cherry fruity sweet, no funk what so ever, no lambic dryness, almost no sourness. Incredibly boring and a huge let down. Thank god that the price tag on this was not that heavy. Shame on you Girardin because the black label geuzue is simply world class.

375mL bottle from Beer Cartel Attractive hazy scarlet beer, slightly pink-tinged dense creamy head persists. Aroma somewhat subdued - sweet/almost confectionary-like cherry, citrus rind, cheese & sour cream. Good weight for a Lambic, lively carbonation, appreciable acidity without being bracing. Character more refined on the body - ripe red cherry - stones & stalks - grapefruit rind, red wine vinegar, Parmasean, grassy/leafy undertones, slight barnyard/hay character lingers on finish. Not overly fruity but lovely structure & complexity.

Boxed lambic @ Bill’s 40th birthday party. Hazy pink appearance with a smallish head. This was delicious. Tons of spicy cherries, funk, light cheese. Pretty dry. Nice carbonation and acidity. Fun to drink.

Bottle at Cafe Rose Red, 28th October 15. Pours dark pink. Aroma is tart, some cherry, not as pronounced as others. Taste is cherry, some funk, not that sour, not intense cherry. Tasty but not amazing

Bottle at M-Café, Leuven. Aroma of tart cherries, red fruits, oak, some funky notes. Flavour is very tart and moderate sour, with a little sweetness as well. Good body and nice balance. Not as stunning as some of the other classic Belgian Krieks, but a fine tasty specimen just the same.

From box at the Barrel Cellar for Bills 40th. Thanks man! Pour is pinkish-brown with a small white head. Big juicy cherry aroma - graham crackers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, pie crust, funky and fruit skins in the aroma. Taste is cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, pie crust, urine, light lemons, and cheesy with a slightly try finish. Slick mouthfeel with no carbonation. Very tasty and fruit forward.
