Had this one bottled while camping in a deserted field somewhere in the Champagne region in France. Luckily I brought this. Much better than champagne. Quite fruity aroma yet a nicely balanced flavor. Beautiful reddish color. Very refreshing.

A: Deep blood red body. Tight, centimeter high bubbly light pink head. Frothy, spotty lacing. Looks pretty damn good.
S: Delicate tart cherries. A little mustiness, but not particularly funky.
T: Like the nose, this is a relatively tame kriek... but by no means does it lack deliciousness. Mild tart cherries. Just a hint of sourness. A little musty oak
M: Smooth, medium-light bodied. Even carbonation throughout. Nice tart finish.
O: Not the most complex kriek, but the Girardin kriek is certainly an easy drinking that might serve as a great introduction to the style for someone who hasn’t quite experienced sour/tart beers yet.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish beer with a weak reddish/pink head. The aroma is cherries, sweetness and fruit. The flavor is cherries, bitternes and acidity. The palate is fruity with bitterness. Overall a really good beer.

Pours reddish with a pink head. Aroma is cherries, light barnyard and a light sweet note. Flavour is cherries, light acidic and light barnyard.

37,5 cl corked and caged bottle generously sent to me by alagnak. Cork has REF F X 2010 stamped on it. Pour is a slight haze pink ruby with a one inch white-pink head that fizzles out pretty quick. Aroma is leather cherry skin, and general mustiness. There is also a sharper Brett aroma in the back. Interesting nose. Taste is the cherry, tart and sweet, along with mildly sour cherry skin followed close behind by the leather and must of the nose. Nice bright acidity, straight forwward but nicely put together. Palate is medium bodied, highly active fine carbonation makes this dry and delightfully drinkable. Fun beer, thanks for this one Chris.

Little poopy nose and plump cherry. Light maroon, Clear rose. wet fruit, not very complex, but nice and tart

Nice cherry nose with good funky horse poopy notes too. Nice fruity funky nose! Pours reddishn hazy with light foam around the edges. Tart cherries, funky poopy notes, and more sour cherries. Seltzery carbonation. Nice cherry flavors with good lambic notes too. Enjoyable.
