Nose is cherry, lactose, a little wheat; very underwhelming. Taste is green apple leading to cherry; there are some suspiciously syrupy notes in the middle. It has some nice oaky tones, with citrus in the finish. It’s nothing to write home about.

Bottle. Slightly goaty sweet and sour cherry aroma with some faint oak vanilla and butterscotch. Slightly hazy deep red under an eternal, light pink meringue. Mouth puckering sour flavour quickly yields to sweet red cherry that descends to a dry bitterness reminiscent of the cherry stone. Medium light body, high carbonation.

Bottle; shared with a friend; 31st March 2015. Vinegar, cherries, funk, brett on aroma. Taste is cherries, tart, funk, brett, sugar. Overcarbenated but in a good way. Lovely. Puckering finish which is moderate/aggressive and almost fizzy cherryade-like. Great stuff! World-class.

Semi-hazy red with a frothy, light-pink head that quickly subsides to a thin layer. The aroma is funky, fruity, red berries, cherry, hay. Taste is slightly funky, slightly sour, slightly sweet with cherry, red berries, lemon, light malts. Short, dry and slightly bitter finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. It’s a good one, but kind of anonymous.

Tasted on 3/13/15 from a corked and caged 375mL bottle, big thanks to Churney for picking this one up. Pours very dark, almost blood red with a thick pink head that slowly recedes to thick, messy lace. The nose is fresh cherry juice, some light baking spice, and pie crust malt, with light funk. The flavor is lightly sweet cherry with nice tart and funk balance, moving to light spice and malt. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long tart funky cherry finish.

Pours vibrant red with nice white head. Aroma is fresh sour cherries, slight breadiness reminiscent of cherry pie. Flavors are again very fresh sour cherries, light, very mild sweetness, very refreshing yet delicate.

JulienHuxley (3936) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 8, 2015
Bottle, 2012 vintage. Pours a red pour with an orange-y copper glow and thick pinkish head. Aroma is fruity, nice cherry aroma, dusty, very light but perceptible acetic notes, nice mellow wet hay, pretty characteristic old kriek aroma. Taste is sweet, still quite fruity, cherries are brighter here than in the aroma, rather light acidity. Palate is light bodied, a bit watery perhaps, with soft carbonation. Decent.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, caramel-brown-red with a small beige head. Smoky/musty....cherry aroma. Taste is tart, but smooth cherry, yeast, cellar-funk....dusty. Very good.
