3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thewolf (8666) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2008
Bottle, bought @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Cph.
[vintage 2003]
Pours deep, deep red with a medium, frothy off-white head. Very funky aroma, lots of citric tartness, light cherry sweetness. Rather high carbonation, but still a wonderful mouthfeel. Flavour is wonderfully tart, spritzy at first, then a very sweet and fruity middle before a wonderful dry, citric tartness sets in. A good lambic, though it is a bit too carbonated.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maria (8586) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2008
Courtesy of Yespr. Dark red, hazy with a slightly pink and lasting head. The aroma is initially very sharp and sour, but after a while it’s more mellow and leaves room for notes like raisin, cherries and yeast. The flavour has sweetness and sourness, notes of yeast, cherries, raisin and it’s actually surprisingly sweet, even if the lambic character still is there.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2008
Beer-in-a-box at Plan B Copenhagen. Deep red beer with a small white head. Barnyard aroma with grassy notes, and some cherry. Tart cherry flavour with a rich fruityness. Easy drinker, yet real lambic feel. The world would be a better place if supermarkets had 5L lambic-in-a-box...

Co-rated with scraff...
This beer rocks!
Sparkling clear red ale with a slight orange tint and a large, creamy, pinkish-white head. Good retention and decent lacing. The nose is of oak, cherries, lemon and barnyard. The flavor is tart and woodsy with lots of cherries and hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Medium-bodied with a dry, resiny mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, fruity, dry finish with a whisper of vanilla at the wee end. Thanks to jbrus for the bottle. World class brew!
