J’adore.

33oml. corked. Fantastic kriek . Very soulful tart notes that seduce . Some musty cobweb and very understated cherry sweetness . Pink love juice.

bottle@bar: burgundy/carmine coloured, strong brett & funk presence, minor tart/sour flavours, almost sweet, there is not that much kriek to be found there, although they are there & they are a bit of the canned cherry variety, wood, gluhwein, slightly acidic, nice

Vinös och torr, välbalanserad mellan sötma och beska och full av livfulla körsbär.

Bottle thanks to Jbrus: Pours amber with a pinkish white head. Aroma, cherries, a nice funky sourness, some oak. Flavor, some nice funk to start, tart cherries, some sweetness in it as well, and a light acidity. Not very sour really, but it didn’t venture into alco-pop land either, it was actually quite nice.

Bottled in February 2005. Had it in May 2005. Reddish fizzy head, diminishing. Red, medium body. Dry texture. Delivers a spurt of cherry and wood in the aroma. Very lasting. Some wine hints. First, acetic and sour vinegar in flavor. Long finish with cherry skins and wood. Becomes increasingly sweet while drinking. The acidity and sourness disappear. Becomes too sweet! That’s a disadvantage. Perhaps I’ve had it too young. The aroma and appearance also point out that it’s not matured. Even though, other raters also mention that the beer is quite sweet.

Aroma has a nice hint of vanilla in it - it’s like smelling a cherry cake with vanilla frosting. Medium + tartness level. Flavor has the fruit right up front, but with a drier, elegant finish. Really nice.

37.5 cl bottle (with cork marked X0607- I suppose that is the best before date?). Glowing orangey red colour and a light pink head with fine bubbles. Woody aroma with lemony lambik characteristics and only a hint of cherries. Lemons flavours, some light cherry in the middle, but in the end it is wood that rules. A touch of almonds as well. Lightish body. Complex and very drinkable, nicely balanced. Judging from other raters this seeems to be a beer that varies quite a bit from bottle to bottle. This one was great, though.
