Clear darker red coloured beer with no carbonation, no head. Fruity, light sour aroma with some wooden touches. Full palate. Finish is light sour, tipically cherry fruity notes. Nice.

Perhaps I shouldn’t rate this one.. a very disappointing barrel from one of my favourite breweries.. this lambic wasn’t actually bad, it just wasn’t anything. well, it did give me inpiration tio use this cherry lambic as the base of a kriek-sangria.. Sad

On draught at the 21st Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation. Pours a beautiful ruby colour with no head. Aroma of caramel, cherries, lemon, almonds and oak. Similar flavours and mildly tart. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle with an oily mouth-feel. OK with lingering caramel and cherries. Quite subtle and a little sweet.

Clear copper red to rust brown beer, no head. Aroma: sweet ripe cherries, bit sugary, cherry jam. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet, very fruity, ripe cherries, crisp lemony tartness. Aftertaste: some lime juice, little bitter, nice ripe cherry fruitiness. Man this was good!

Sampled @ 5de Brugs Bierfestival, Brugge. Pours translucent red with small head. Crisp cherry aroma. Pleasantly tart cherry flavour. Very good, like candy :)

Dispensed from bag in a box. It pours bright red, with no head. The nose is juicy tart cherry, farmyard, acidic and some TCP. The taste is tart cherry, strawberry, red grape, vinious acidic and tart lemon, with a tart finish. Light-medium body and pretty much no carbonation. Great balance. Not particularly complex, but just massively drinkable. I could drink this all day.

Pour is a blood red color with a faint pink head and creamy lacing. Nose is a light metallic twang with a bit of syrupy sweet cherry and not much else. The taste is fairly simple, a little cough syrup with a fair bit of sweet cherries. no tartness and a little artificial. light zesty yeast note underneath it all. light body, very creamy, low carb, and juicy in the back.

15 cl. draft sample from a plastic keg @ Bruges Beer Festival 2012: magnificent clear, bright pomegranate red, no head save for a handful of bubbles that are supposed to pass for a head with lambic, smell & taste is pretty mush straight up kriek juice, slightly tart, finish going a touch of lambic acidity, touch funkiness, sourness is just perfect for me, fruity with a real “kriek” fruitiness to it, hint delicious lactic, easy drinkable no unwanted carbonation

Barrel from the brewery at Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle. Pours light red, no head. Taste is not sour enough for me. It’s isn’t sweet, but not complex enough for me. Like the brewer says, it’s not sour nor sweet, it’s kriek. Well that defines it actually. I had far better kriek lambics than this one.

A: The pour is blood red with no carbonation. Nice clarity to it. S: A really intense cherry aroma. Tons of cherry skin in addition to the flesh. Lemon zest and lactic tartness with a bit of grass and straw. Just an amazing amount of cherry, though. T: The flavor is even better. It’s just a little bit sweet with plenty of lactic tartness to balance that out. As with the nose, a prodigious amount of cherry flesh and skin flavor. Only a mild funk to it. M: Medium bodied with no carbonation. O: Awesome stuff. I could probably drink all 5 liters by myself.
