4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
15 cl. draft sample from a plastic keg @ Bruges Beer Festival 2012: magnificent clear, bright pomegranate red, no head save for a handful of bubbles that are supposed to pass for a head with lambic, smell & taste is pretty mush straight up kriek juice, slightly tart, finish going a touch of lambic acidity, touch funkiness, sourness is just perfect for me, fruity with a real “kriek” fruitiness to it, hint delicious lactic, easy drinkable no unwanted carbonation

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Andava giù come l’acqua!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2014 From a 10 litre box brought over by Phil l and drunk in a garden in Ramsgate on American Independence day. Sweeter than I imagined. Really bright red cherry colour. Not as funky lambick-y as I imagined. Tons of cherry fruit. Not overly acidic or harsh on finish. Excellent fruit. I drank quite a bit of this as it was just the right level of funk interest and real fruit flavour. Fantastic. Re-rate Warm Water, Brussels on tap. My god, this was the beer of the day of running around Brussels bars. The funk was just right, the fruit bright and real and the drinkability just way too good. One of my beers of all time.

1L clay jug shared by 3@Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst barbecue, Eizeringen during Tour de Geuze 2013. - Pours naturally flat from the jug, as it is lambiek, in a beautiful translucent bright red. For a "simple" lambiek I appreciate the dual taste complexity: mild cherry sourness and some mellow red fruit marmelade on the one hand, but an unusual and protruding over-mature hop perfume and pit bitterness on the other. I have never had a lambiek or geuze with such a tasty and potent mature hop profile, offsetting the usual sour&sweet in the taste. Mild and yet spectacular. Could have finished the jug by myself, will have to seek this out in some container or other for the coming summer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Dark clear red. Aroma of black cherries. Fruity and intensely flavourful with balanced acidity. Though it is complex and very vinous, and the flavour of the cherries is just wonderful it takes a bit of the edge of the complexity of the unblended lambic, making it only slightly less superb.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2009 [Bag in Box] Poured a still, murky, ruby red color, with bubbles. Taste of cherries, wood, wild yeast, raspberries, and hay. Taste of sweeter cherry, dry wood, light tartness from the wild yeast, and ultimately a nice dry finish. Really nice to sip on on a hot summer day.

T - Oh hell yes. Cherry cheesecake!!! Whipped cream. Almonds. But very mud like finish. Barnyard funk and shoes
M - 20% carb. Slick and heavy body
O – 5/5 all the way. The delicious cherry cheesecake taste with a creamy finish was nice!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Faint hazy beer with the color of blood-oranges. It is a flat beer that gives a small pink head when it is poured vigorously. The smell is very complex and refreshing. It has aroma’s of cherries, blood-oranges, tropical fruits like kiwi and unripe mango’s. In the second fase the more earthy accents are coming up. Aroma’s of barnyard, wet wood, wet hay and touches of sour yoghurt. The taste is crisp and dry with a tremendous complexity of sour red berries, sour apples and rubarbe. The cherry-tart and the woodyness brings some roundness and structure in this very original brew. The afthertaste is like havig a sample of a young Bourgundy wine from the cask. Is this the Vosne Romanée of beers? To me it is. Great stuff, at best when served straight from the cask.
