4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 77ships (991) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 5, 2012
15 cl. draft sample from a plastic keg @ Bruges Beer Festival 2012: magnificent clear, bright pomegranate red, no head save for a handful of bubbles that are supposed to pass for a head with lambic, smell & taste is pretty mush straight up kriek juice, slightly tart, finish going a touch of lambic acidity, touch funkiness, sourness is just perfect for me, fruity with a real “kriek” fruitiness to it, hint delicious lactic, easy drinkable no unwanted carbonation
4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 LordCorkscrew (1759) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - APR 23, 2008
Andava giù come l’acqua!
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 turbothy (967) - Bonn, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2012
Sampled @ 5de Brugs Bierfestival, Brugge. Pours translucent red with small head. Crisp cherry aroma. Pleasantly tart cherry flavour. Very good, like candy :)
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 28, 2003
Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Dark clear red. Aroma of black cherries. Fruity and intensely flavourful with balanced acidity. Though it is complex and very vinous, and the flavour of the cherries is just wonderful it takes a bit of the edge of the complexity of the unblended lambic, making it only slightly less superb.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2009 [Bag in Box] Poured a still, murky, ruby red color, with bubbles. Taste of cherries, wood, wild yeast, raspberries, and hay. Taste of sweeter cherry, dry wood, light tartness from the wild yeast, and ultimately a nice dry finish. Really nice to sip on on a hot summer day.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2010 From a 10 litre box brought over by Phil l and drunk in a garden in Ramsgate on American Independence day. Sweeter than I imagined. Really bright red cherry colour. Not as funky lambick-y as I imagined. Tons of cherry fruit. Not overly acidic or harsh on finish. Excellent fruit. I drank quite a bit of this as it was just the right level of funk interest and real fruit flavour. Fantastic. Re-rate Warm Water, Brussels on tap. My god, this was the beer of the day of running around Brussels bars. The funk was just right, the fruit bright and real and the drinkability just way too good. One of my beers of all time.

Clear copper red to rust brown beer, no head. Aroma: sweet ripe cherries, bit sugary, cherry jam. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet, very fruity, ripe cherries, crisp lemony tartness. Aftertaste: some lime juice, little bitter, nice ripe cherry fruitiness. Man this was good!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Hildigöltur (5107) - København, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2004
Beautiful deep red coloured. Pleasant natural cherry aroma. Good balance between sweetness and sourness in the flavour. Notes of grapefruit and almonds. Very refreshing and nice.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Dickinsonbeer (5075) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 13, 2009
10 liter box o kriek generously obtained and shared by Puzzl. Pours a still deep ruby red- but mostly clear- very slight haze. Aroma is very nice fresh tart big red cherries, pitty, leather, big fresh fruit, reminiscent of a de cam or mort subite, just toned down slightly from those two. Flavor is tons of cherry with a good tannic astringency, still very balanced and drinkable- great tartness but not overly sour that you can detect, but the acidity comes back to hurt your stomach later for sure. Great clean finish- no butter, no off acids, nothing too wild- just a great lambic with tons of great sour cherries. Awesome stuff! I much preferred this to the oude lambic, but I still drank a lot of each.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2008 The owner of De Rare Vos in Schepdaal had closed for the day, but was friendly enough to fill my litre swing top bottle with this magic stuff. Ruby red color. Cherry and almond aroma. Sweetish cherry flavor with notes of cherry pits, almond and wood. No sugary sweetness, just the sweetness of the cherry fruit, with just a dash of lemon added. As I said, magic stuff!
Cask @ De Rare Vos. Clear cherry red with reddish foam. Cherry, almonds and wood in the aroma. Cherry sweet flavor with some almonds and wood. Just a hint of sourness. A marvel of balance.
