(draught of course) White-pinkish slim head; slightly hazy, beautiful cyclamen-red beer. Faintly sweets-nose, cherrydrops, some Brett shining trough. Rather sweet taste, but not sugared or syrupy cherry taste. It is as if sweet-cherry (kersen) juice has just been added, instead of sour cherry (krieken) juice. Touch of almonds from the stones. The fruit lends extra filling to the mouthfeel. However weirdly sweet, it never presents an artificial flavour profile. It just seems the wrong kind of fruit - for a lover of the sour-fruit theme. For a sweet tooth, however...

It looks very nice red! it has a sharp flavour of lingon berries and cherries and a fruity palate. It is pretty sour. A very funny beer.

Bag-in-a-box at Copenhage beermarathon 2004: Deep red with absolutely no head. Very nice aroma of cherries, with just a hint of the sourness. The taste is very well rounded and balanced. a good experience

Enjoyed at Het Warm Water in Brussels. Deep ruby color with a few bubbles, strong fruit aroma, sweet cherries are juicy and mildly tart but not sour, mouthfeel is mostly flat but not thin. An enjoyable drink.

On draught at Hotel Centrum, Beersel. Dark ruby red with a medium-sized pink head. Definite cherry aroma, even quite sweet. Strong semi-sweet cherry flavours, dry woody finish. Quite fizzy, medium body. Good kriekenlambik, but cherry steals the show.

Weekend of spot. ferment. 07’. Pours a clear deep ruby. Aroma of blackcurrant, cherry and tomatos. Very fruity like. Sweeter body than most of the other kriekenlambiks going around, flavours of cherry juice and almonds. Simple sweetish finish. Despite the apparent simplicity of the beer, its still outrageously good.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2009 Jun 21, 2008: Draught from a box. Bit unclear nice red colour with a fizzy fast disappearing white head. Mild sour cherry aroma. The flavour has a mild sourness with cherries and and a mild sweetness. Nice soft drink lambiek. 7/3/7/3/7/14: 3.4 Sep. 18, 2009: Hand bottled. Tart fruity cherry aroma. Rather flat mouthfeel. Tart cherry flavour, not so sweet and not so overwelming but very nice.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2009 From Ølbutikken. Pours red with no head. Aroma is vague with a hint of sweet ripe cherries. The flavour is also quite vague. Its dry with notes of ripe cherries and has a woody touch. The after taste is slightly bitter/sour and is quite nice but also watery on the palate, due to the lag of carbonation.
