Ungstrup (10794), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2003 Updated: Apr 8, 2004[Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival 2003] An orange beer with a bubbly disappearing head. The aroma is a sweet and sour lambic aroma. The flavor is nice: a little moldy "mug", sour, and sweet with notes of fruit and "nellikker". A good lambic omhper (9956), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 28, 2003 Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden. Deep golden with some haze. Very fruity with notes of tart berries. Sour, but the acidity is beautifully balanced by the intense, complex flavours. There are notes of barnyard, dry white wine, wood and more. This beer is a wonderful experience. I can't think of any other beers which is bith this thirst quenching, and also super-complex and flavourful. Papsoe (9656), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2005 (Bag in a box) Very dark golden, well - almost amber. Completely clear, completely flat, no head. Lovely nose of overripe fruit - plums perhaps? Fresh and quenching, naturally very acidic, but far from in any extreme way. Weird, dry bitterness in the finish. 010605 Oakes (6776), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2004 The nature of unblended lambic is that you never know quite what you’re going to get. One cask turns out sublime, others not so much. This was one of the latter. Copper-amber colour. Cider and diacetyl in the nose. Sweet and sour palate that is cidery and somewhat horsey. Hint of diacetyl persists. Same cask as Dr. Nate and Mads Berg. joergen (6130), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 11, 2006 From bag in box.
Clear amber coloured with a fast disappearing white head.
Fruity aroma with light acidic notes.
Light acidic flavour of fruits, wood and hops.
