Bottled. A golden beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and some spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. The alcohol burns lightly in the throat. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear yellow with a rough white head. Tart, yeasty and phenollic aroma - almost like a cheap white wine. Medium body, fruity, yeasty and again this grape-like character. No real bitterness but some alcohol in the finish. 211009

Huge white head over pale metallic-golden beer, quite big bubbled. Strange herbal, spicy and also salty nose. I seem to get white candi sugar, but it does not smell sweet; Roasted, caramel notes; a certain faint acidity, and spicy malts. Very well-attenuated. Fizzy MF, rather light-appearing body, yet quite slick. Utterly weird. Obvious Van Steenberge, and for once, I’d be tempted to believe it to be original Despite all the references to the shrimpfishing, there’s no commanditor mentioned.
