COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A beautiful looking 0.33l bottle from Local Patriot, Monfalcone. This is a hazy honey-colored beer with a small bubbly off-white head. Itís really heavy on the butter-caramel in the aroma. I also get some fresh flowers and honey-cake, but the butter-caramel - almost diacetyl-ish thingy going on is somewhat dominant. Itís really prickling in the mouth, and it has a near thin and almost watery texture. Flavors are not as buttery as first expected, but there are definitely diacetyl tones here. Quite bitter, some autumn leafs, almost grassy - like in old grass. Itís also what I would describe as spicy-herbal. Some hint of alcohol in the finish and itís leaving a dry tongue in the aftertaste. Yeah, Iím not utterly impressed, but nice enough I guess. 20.05.2012
