kappldav123 (1063), Markkleeberg, Germany Jun 10, 2008 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Much foam for a doppelbock. Aroma malty-sweet. Flavor the same: Malty and sweet, oily. Very sweet finish, not alcoholic. That’s the way a heller doppelbock has to taste!
MrRomero (1893), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Dec 31, 2007 33cl fliptop bottle: poured golden yellow with a small white head. Honey and hop aroma with a bit of cookies. Light alcohol in the nose. Hops in the flavor with some sweet malt presence. Somewhat sticky but not too sweet in my opinion. Decent. pivnizub (3871), Porúří, Germany Mar 12, 2007 Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden coloured, smaller foamy layer; honeyish-malty nose; sweetish flavour, a bit sticky; finishes sweetish as well with a distinctive alcoholic, brandy-like touch in the aftertaste. Not very well balanced Bock............. joss (3134), Garching b. München, Germany Feb 3, 2007 Bottle. Orange, foamy golden head. Dusty minerally, somewhat fruity aroma. Quite dry hayish base with a few fruity overtones, light aromatic hop. Kicks a bit. Saarlander (1459), The Saarland, Germany Dec 26, 2006 A malty brew to say the least, alcohol was more subdued than expected. sticky on the lips, ok brew. Thanks to MoritzF for the bottle.
