Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden coloured, smaller foamy layer; honeyish-malty nose; sweetish flavour, a bit sticky; finishes sweetish as well with a distinctive alcoholic, brandy-like touch in the aftertaste. Not very well balanced Bock.............

Pours a dark yet cloudy coppery maple color with a small off white head. Aroma of dark fruit and candied malts. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

Süßer Lebkuchengeruch, etwas nach Schokolade. Süß-herber Antrunk, ausgewogen. Sehr gewürzig und eigen werdend, z.T. im hinteren Bereich unstimmig. Gewürzig-bitter im Abgang, zu krass, daher disharmonisch. 8/8/9/9/10/8

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Much foam for a doppelbock. Aroma malty-sweet. Flavor the same: Malty and sweet, oily. Very sweet finish, not alcoholic. That’s the way a heller doppelbock has to taste!

33cl fliptop bottle: poured golden yellow with a small white head. Honey and hop aroma with a bit of cookies. Light alcohol in the nose. Hops in the flavor with some sweet malt presence. Somewhat sticky but not too sweet in my opinion. Decent.

Bottle. Orange, foamy golden head. Dusty minerally, somewhat fruity aroma. Quite dry hayish base with a few fruity overtones, light aromatic hop. Kicks a bit.

A malty brew to say the least, alcohol was more subdued than expected. sticky on the lips, ok brew. Thanks to MoritzF for the bottle.

(33cl swing top bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet pale malty, strawy aroma with a balanced herbal hoppy blend with an present but not disturbing alcoholic note. Sweet flavour, full-bodied with a smooth carbonation. Malt-accented, strawy and chewy taste; sweetish, malty and alcoholic, but also warming finish with shy hoppy notes. A bit sticky pale Doppelbock, that could be less sweet and a bit more hoppy. All in all okay.
