(swing top bottle, bought at the brewery) Hazy, murky amber colour with a huge and quite persistent beige foamy head. Dusty, sweet and moderately sour fruity (dried prunes) aroma with hints of caramel. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation for a Hefeweizen. Rather one-dimensional malt-accented, slightly fruity taste; malty, slightly yeasty and fruity finish. Okay, but not as convincing as their pale Hefeweizen.

500ml bottle (Helsinki Beer Festival 2011)
6 Typical hefe aroma, vering towards the muddier side, as common for a dunkel.
4 Rich cloudy orange, small head. If I were being negative I might say it’s a bit muddy, but I’m not, so I won’t.
5 No balls. Talks the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk. Gentle muddy graininess.
3 A bit watery and thin. Muddy finish.
11 This happens a lot with dunkels, it dives off in the muddy direction, and misses out on the full sweet breadiness I like.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Cloudy, deep (reddish-) amber coloured, quite stable, a bit lacing off-white head; delicate citrus-fruity and caramelly nose, sour dough also detectable; moderate sweet (-malty)-sourish flavour, MF is a bit fizzy; fruity and malty finish, faint sourness and tartness in the very end. Really not unpleasant.......
