A well made if uninspiring pils. Tastes like many other German variations on this style.

Deep golden coloured. Malty aroma. Malty and slightly hoppy flavour. Light bitterness in the finish. Soft and bready.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Herrlich kräftig goldene Farbe, gute feinporige Krone und extrem viel CO2 Bläschen. Herrlich.

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home.

Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, grain, toasted, sweet fruit, light vegetables. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111226]

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2011
Test vom 7.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,8,11,9 - 8,85

(swing top bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy foamy blonde head. Slightly sweet malty, slightly grainy aroma with shy citrus-fruity accents and herbal hops in the background. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Initially malty, grainy taste with light herbal notes; dry and moderately bitter, slightly hoppy finish. Clean and drinkable, but also one-dimensional Pilsener.

Flip-top bottle (purchased at the brewery): Pale golden, smaller white head; sweet-malty and grainy(dusty) nose plus a faint grassy hoppiness; moderate bitter flavour, quite dry, "slim" malty base; mainly bitter finish. Decent Pils, no earth-quake...........

33cl fliptop bottle: poured clear golden yellow with a decent midsized white head. Aroma of light fruit, like grapes and apples. Flavor was fruity, not at all bitter like most German pilseners. Hints of apple and grape. Mild malt notes. A good beer.

A clear light Golden color with a medium White head. A light malty and slightly fruity scent. Rich malt flavor, sweet bread doughy flavor. Nice full bodied Pils. Quite good!
