COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Amber is malty, medium bodied, and balanced out with hints of chocolate and caramel from the crystal malt, Munich malt, and roast barley. Cascade hops complement the malt sweetness perfectly. Starting gravity: 14.25 Plato (1.058 S.G.).

[Tap] Tried this at the brewpub in mid-September. Pours a dark amber color without much head to speak of. Nose is of cocoa powder, molasses and grainy malts. Sweet and bready taste is of toast, sweet rolls and gentle floral hopping. Low levels of carbonation. Not a bad beer. Pretty standard though.

A copper amber alew ith a thick mocha head. In aroma, a light nutty malt. In mouth, a smooth caramel malt with light nutty notes. A bit boring. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 9 2011.

On tap at Glacier Brewhouse, Anchorage. Deep amber-red body, thick off-white head. Toasty nose with light sweetness and leafy hops. Firm hoppy body, herbal and leafy, with berries, caramel, and toast. Average.

Draft at the pub. Clear and darkish amber with a creamy head. Nose is caramel, cola, cocoa and toasted nut. Flavor starts with sweetish caramel, but the cocoa and toast quickly provide a delicate balance. Near-medium body is smoothly carbonated and well-balanced by the roasty finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Amber colored beer with a thin off white head. Light grainy nose. Lots of caramel sweetness with grainy bread flavors and a green hop finish. Okay gateway beer.

Sampler at the Glacier Brewhouse. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Not picking up much in the way of aroma off this. Taste was of nut and roast malt. Mouthfeel was creamy with mild bitterness. Not bad.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery. Draft pour was a deep, dark amber color. Nose had a pleasant caramelly-sweet character which was also noted on the palate. Moderate balancing of hops, with a somewhat soda-popl like quality to this beer with an abundance of carbonation. Easy to drink, even with the abundance of sweetness.
