COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Amber is malty, medium bodied, and balanced out with hints of chocolate and caramel from the crystal malt, Munich malt, and roast barley. Cascade hops complement the malt sweetness perfectly. Starting gravity: 14.25 Plato (1.058 S.G.).

On draft at the brewpub 7/6/05: Dark bronze color with a smooth caramel character and mellow bitterness. Malty, malty ... very Vienna-like, but average.

(Draft: Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK) Moderately flavorful, light carmel maltiness, fairly mild bitterness, sweet, mildly tart, but overall, the flavor is generic and unexciting; The finish is pretty light, with the malt fading somewhat, allowing the mild bitterness to have a bit more presence; Very light nose has a mild toasty maltiness; Medium bodied, but nothing special on the palate; Deep amber color; Sizeable tan head is mostly large bubbles, but shows decent retention, gradually fading to a sheen; Lots of draping lacing on the glass

Deep amber; kind of copperish. Sweet, deep malts with an English slant. Toasted bread and a little doughy. Mild hops with a very mild bitterness. Pretty good, easy-drinking beer. Wished for some more bitterness, though.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2004 Draft: This is a great offering from Glacier BrewHouse. Very dark and opaque beer. Thin head that dissappears quickly. Strong malty aroma. A little bitter up front with a smooth finish. (I enjoyed this beer at Anchorage Airport)

aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - AUG 6, 2002
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 Great amber. Darker than most of the style, verging on being a brown ale (Actually reminds me a bit of Boyne River Brown). Mildly hopped, huge malt flavors and aromas dominate. Rich and delicious.
