COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Amber is malty, medium bodied, and balanced out with hints of chocolate and caramel from the crystal malt, Munich malt, and roast barley. Cascade hops complement the malt sweetness perfectly. Starting gravity: 14.25 Plato (1.058 S.G.).

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2004 Draft: This is a great offering from Glacier BrewHouse. Very dark and opaque beer. Thin head that dissappears quickly. Strong malty aroma. A little bitter up front with a smooth finish. (I enjoyed this beer at Anchorage Airport)

6/3/08 On draught. Aroma and flavor both favor sweet malt over bittering, with the flavor being very well balanced. Appeance is a slightly hazy copper. Overall, very easy drinking.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery. Draft pour was a deep, dark amber color. Nose had a pleasant caramelly-sweet character which was also noted on the palate. Moderate balancing of hops, with a somewhat soda-popl like quality to this beer with an abundance of carbonation. Easy to drink, even with the abundance of sweetness.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 Great amber. Darker than most of the style, verging on being a brown ale (Actually reminds me a bit of Boyne River Brown). Mildly hopped, huge malt flavors and aromas dominate. Rich and delicious.

2008-09-01. Dark copper body with a modest off-white head. (3+) Mild hops in the aroma over toasty caramel malt. (7+) Flavour has a decent bit of bitterness, hops, good malt core but the bitterness is the focus. (7+) Average plus. Simple, but solid. On tap at Steamers, Ketchikan

On tap at the brewpub. Amber colored beer with a thin off white head. Light grainy nose. Lots of caramel sweetness with grainy bread flavors and a green hop finish. Okay gateway beer.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice balance with hops and malt. Good aroma with a lingering citrus hops. The flavor was a crisp easy drinking amber. Very good brew.

Draft at the pub. Clear and darkish amber with a creamy head. Nose is caramel, cola, cocoa and toasted nut. Flavor starts with sweetish caramel, but the cocoa and toast quickly provide a delicate balance. Near-medium body is smoothly carbonated and well-balanced by the roasty finish.

[1643-20080901] Tap. Fresh fruit yeast and grainy malt aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting foam off-white head and some lacing. Grainy mild citrus yeast flavour. Lightly bitter medium body. Quite good.
