2008-09-01. Hazy pastel yellow body with a smallish white head. Lightly yeasty, mild pale malt, light bitterness, minute citrus. (6+) Modest aroma, light hops, yeast and grass. (6+) Average plus plate. Quite drinkable but just okay. On tap at Steamers, Ketchikan

[1641-20080901] Tap. Nice house yeast aroma is fresh and twiggy with a hint of fruit. Slightly hazy, light brown body with a quick foamy white head. Nice sweet fruit background flavour has some yeast and light grapefruit notes. Light-medium body. Drinkable.

On draft at the brewpub 7/6/05: Dark yellow beer. Really strong sweetness with a hint of high alcohol? Damn near a Belgian-type ale. I’d think that most people would run from it.

Had on tap at the Resurection Roadhouse in Seward, Alaska. Medium golden appearance with a decent, white thick head, good lacing. Has a slighlty buttery aroma with some vegetable accents. Same buttery essence carries over to the flavor with a bit of bit of biscuity, malty sweetness. Mouthfeel was decent. Probably brewed for the masses. A decent, but not stellar effort.

Pint - Jakes Bar & Bistro - Steilacoom, WA
Aroma – Good mix of hops and malts.
Appearance – Light golden pale color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor – This was a very nice easy to drink blonde ale. Liked the flavor of malt and hops balance.
Palate – Great Mouthfeel, nice texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – This was a great beer. A perfect beer for those hot days mowing the lawn. Was at awe this was from Alaska. Wonder what a hot day is for them? It was brewed very nicely.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a translucent golden with a smaller bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of corn, some grassiness, hints of citrus. Flavor of cereal grains, some corny sweetness, light hop bitterness. Crisp and refreshing.

Light golden and extremely clear with a thinnish head. Crisp carbonation and a pale mouthfeel. Light malts with hints of grains and cereal. Gentle hop aromas, mostly herbs. Very mild bitterness; slightly drying. OK beer for a bland style.

The second best beer I had at Glacier Brewhouse. This was a pleasant surprise. Normally I dismiss all the brewpub blondes and ambers and pales as the same old crap, but this beer definitely offered something more. Brau nailed it when saying this beer was almost Belgian in style and strength. It had a rich, buttery nose, to completely a smooth, yeasty, strong flavor that really went down well. Pour was the perfect shade of blonde with just a hint of opacity that wasnt quite bud or not quite a hefe. Really looked great in the glass, and tasted real great in the mouth.

Draft at the pub. Clear golden with a creamy ring of fine bubbles and lace. Mild aroma of fresh grain and grassy, citrus hops. This is a well-balanced, softly carbonated, light-medium bodied brew with a lightly crisp hop finish. Nice sessioner with a bit more flavor than most goldens.

(Draft: Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK) This is one light flavored beer, perfect for the tourist crowd that packs the Glacier Brewhouse; Slightly sweet, with little malt or hops, it tastes and smells like a cheap American light beer; Light body, of course, and smooth on the palate … like water; Hardly any nose, and nothing descriptive; Pale yellow color; Whitish head is mostly just large bubbles and fades fast, but leaves a solid coating of lacing on the glass, which is the only positive thing I can say about this beer
