On cask @ Glacier (12 days of Barley Wine). Slightly hazy deep amber/brown with a tiny off white head. Big aroma of caramel, dark fruit, bread dough and toffee. Flavor is sweet, rich, bready malts with a lighty sour dough taste. Medium body with soft, cask carbonation and a slightly syrupy mouth feel. This is a great beer, a bit on the sweet side.

Draft sample at FOBAB 2010. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Notes of caramel and chocolate malts, toffee, brown sugar, raisins, vanilla, earth, sweet bread, and oak. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty mouthfeel. This reminded me more of a really good barley wine than an eisbock. Fun to drink, and glad I sampled it early, before barley wine fatigue set in.

Dark brown color/ tan head. Rich bready, malty sweet molasses aromas. Full bodied. Malty sweet cocoa powder, earth, black licorice, bready yeasty flavors, good. sweet but not overly so.
