Our perennial favorite is back! The Flathead Cherry Ale is a refreshing blend of a light-colored beer and a cherry flavor. We pour this one in our tasting room all summer but you never know where it could pop up next!

Artificial cherry notes, wheat, and butter. Wow. Pours golden, thin fizzy head. Flavors of medicinal sweet cherry, butter, and wheat. Buttery finish. Tough to drink.

Had this on tap. Poured a pink hued golden color. Smells of cough syrup. More of the same taste wise, cough syrup. Reminds me of being sick as a child. This beer is shitty. Some things should just not be attempted.

[On-tap at Glacier Brewing] Pours clear pale gold with a smal white head. Aroma is a huge blast of cherry. Simple, and something a little off with it, but not bad. The taste is where things broke down. Really weird interplay between fruit and malt. Moderate bitterness, cherry, and malt fight it out, with all of them losing. Solvent notes are the icing on the cake. Thin, smooth, long finish. Overall, this was really pretty dreadful, and I couldn’t even finish my sampler of it.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange with a white colored head. Aroma is fruit, cherries and grain. Taste is light cherry with grain, not overpowering fruit and a bit watery.

Part of the tasting platter @ the brewpub. Very pale clear straw yellow, intense maraschino cherry aroma. Candy sweet fake cherry syrup flavour with vanilla accents. Watery thin. All wrong for me.

Really didn’t throw much of a head when pouring into the glass. Slight white ring of bubbles around the glass. Bit of a cloudy golden body. Light, almost watery mouthfeel. Aroma like a freshly opened jar of marechino cherries, sugary sweet. Flavor not nearly as sweet. Yes, there’s cherry flavor, but hops are a bit more pronounced in the flavor than I’d really care for. Not balanced. Cough syrup flavor in the aftertaste, albeit light. Disappointed. (Really disappointed as I just looked at the label and it says brewed with artificial flavoring and Red Dye #40. In Flathead Cherry country? Really? For Shame!!!)

Draught at the brewery. Pale golden, small head. Aroma of cherry jam and root beer. Dry and crisp, fruity with light, almost hin body. No bitterness,. Root beer meets cheap champagne. Left me puzzled.

Sample at brewery. Pale gold, foamy white head. Aroma of cherries and lots of them. Taste is guess what... sweet cherry. Medium light body.

Pours a tradtional golden color, with a light white head. The aroma and taste are heavily dominated with cherries. I’m not much of a fan of fruit beers, and this one is no exception. Can’t really recommend it because the cherry flavor is just too much for me. It overwhelms the traditional beer aspects. But if you love cherry flavorring, try this one.

on tap-pours a disappearing white head and gold color. Aroma is cherry, spice, marzipan, jelly bean. Taste is cherry, spice, marzipan/vanilla, jelly bean. Interesting.
