This golden ale is a style of beer, which is designed to be light and thirst quenching. It is an excellent accompaniment to an afternoon lunch or the evening meal when the beer drinker chooses to enjoy two or three beers without becoming filled up. This beer is intended to appeal to experienced ale drinkers, as well as novice beer drinkers who have not yet experienced the ale revolution.

[On-tap at Glacier Brewing] Pours clear golden with a small off-white head. Kind of weird character to this one. Solid malt, but almost a chlorine aspect which is really off-putting. The chlorine notes do fade as it warms. I’d be willing to give this one a shot again, but something seemed off with this sample.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours light golden color with a tiny white head. The head fades very fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is light overall, but consists of a little bit of a caramel smell as well as a hint of a bready aroma. A tiny bit of grass is there as well, rounding it all out. Taste – The taste begins with a caramel and bready taste along with a hint of a light fruity taste of a apple, peach, and pear nature. The fruit and caramel fade a bit as the taste moves on, all while the bready grows more intense and is joined by a bit of a corn sweetness. In the end with a hint of a grassy hop coming to the tongue, one is left with a moderately sweet and bready flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style it is rather appropriate and makes for an easy drinker. Overall- Nothing too special here, an alright pale ale, but nothing more.

Part of the tasting platter @ the brewpub. Clear medium gold, head leaves light lace. Sweet candy corn aroma. Sweet and grainy, very light fruit and marzipan accents. No real bitterness.

A little fruit in the aroma. Fresh. A nice color. This is citrusy, zesty, with a slightly dry finish. I found this quite enjoyable on a hot Vegas day.

Draught at the brewery. Lightly hazy pale yellow, smal head. Neutral nose. Mid sweet with thin body and clean mouthfeel. No bitterness. With neutral flavour and hard mouthfeel it is not really refreshing, and certainly not enjoyable for it’s flavour.

Poured a dark gold with a nice head that faded slowly. A malty aroma that was decent. Taste was of malt and grains with a light hop finish. A decent mouthfeel and overall not too bad.

Twelve ounce bottle. Pours a nice golden color. Smooth with hops and some sweetness too. Very drinkable and satisfying. A solid Kolsch from Poson Montana. Thumbs up.
