3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich, spicy aroma, with mild fruityness, a touch of banana. Color was a little too ruddy for a hefe but nothing too horrible. Taste was very lively, yeasty, mostly carried along by a very nice palate. Could certainly be sessioned. A very nice hefe.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
On draft at the brewpub 7/6/05: Opaque orange-yellow with light banana tones, but far too fizzy .... like an orange sweet soda with added yeastiness.

Had on tap at the brewpub in Anchorage. Excellent brewpub wheat. Nice, thick pour with an everpresent pure white head with heavy lacing. Has a yeasty aroma of bananas and flowers. Detect bananas in the flavor as well with a wee bit of bubblegum in the aftertaste. Nice light orange cloudy appearance. Very refreshing and a good finish to the meal of salmon.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Draft: Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK) The flavor of this light to medium bodied hefeweizen is pretty light, somewhat spicy, fruity and slightly perfumy like peach, fairly sweet with some light bubblegum, and minimally bitter; The nose is spicy, with both sweet and sour elements; Orange golden in color and fully cloudy; Off-white head fades to a rim, leaving some patchy lacing; One of their best beers, which is a pretty sad statement considering this one is just okay

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Big, frothy head above an opaque, amber-orange hue, which tapered down to a yellow-orange. Great-looking hefe! Smooth and creamy texture. Chewy-sweet malts exuded with fresh malts. Sweet banana and spicy clove drifted back and forth from my tongue to my nose. Fresh esters throughout. Mild hop bitterness, but enough to balance things out; dried off the sticky-sweet in the back of the throat, too. Wonderful hefe and one of my favs at Glacier.
