(Draft: Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK) The flavor of this light to medium bodied hefeweizen is pretty light, somewhat spicy, fruity and slightly perfumy like peach, fairly sweet with some light bubblegum, and minimally bitter; The nose is spicy, with both sweet and sour elements; Orange golden in color and fully cloudy; Off-white head fades to a rim, leaving some patchy lacing; One of their best beers, which is a pretty sad statement considering this one is just okay

Draft: Poured a murky yellow orange with fluffy white head. Aroma is nice with soft grain, light banana, and wheat. Taste is nice banana based with sweet grain and balanced bitter wheat.

Golden straw in color, hazy with a thin head. Decent fruit like wheat flavor and aroma. Light hops linger as the wheat malt was thick and smooth in flavor. Nice average fruit in my beer drink.

[Tap] Tried this at the brewpub in mid-September. Hazy and golden in color. Includes a large and pillowy white head. Nose is heavy on phenols, with clove and a light medicinal character. Mild esters, vanilla, banana, wheat malts and Band-Aid twang in the taste. Average body for an American-made version of the style. I didn’t really care for this one too much, but maybe I tried a bad keg of it. I am also a stickler with the style.

Draft at the pub. Cloudy yellow-amber with a creamy ring of bubbles. Spicy clean aroma of clove, citrusy yeast and a hint of banana. The flavors are the same but softened by some wheat and a bit more of the banana flavor against the sharper citrus and clove. Light-medium body is soft and finishes crisp and refreshing. Very good example of the style.

On tap: Boston’s Pizza, Fairbanks. Poured a very nice deep yellow orange with a thick white head. Not a whole lot of aroma just slight yeast notes and some banana. Flavor is mild banana and yeast. The finish is what kills me. Quite dry.

On tap @ Orso’s. Hazy yellow with a white head that leaves some lacing. Typical banana and clove Hef aroma with some wheat. Flavor is sweet malt and spicy yeast flavors. Medium body with average carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. Excellent Hef, no complaints here.

Enjoyed at the brewery on tap. Pours a nice orangey-yellowy color with rocky white head. Overall had a more wheat & bready focused nose and palate, with not as much fruit (banana) as I normally find with hefe-weizen. Carbonation seemed low, with a slightly heavier body than many weizens. Heavier but still refreshing.
