Pretty nice. Sweet and creamy. Chocolate and roasted notes. I liked it a lot. Not too sweet no added crap.

Draught at the brewery. Pours opaque black with a large, creamy tan head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is oats, roast and chocolate malt with prunes, dates, and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet roast and chocolate malt, oats, dates and prunes, light earthy hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

on tap @ Glacier / Anchorage AK --- Opaque black/brown color, tan head cover, solid sheet of lace. Aroma of dark malt. Taste is chewy toasted malt that moves easily through the palate to a viscous, lightly hopped, finish. Balance at the end is a bit of an issue, with the sweet becoming more pronounced, but, otherwise, it works conventionally well.

On nitro tap at the brewery. Looks really nice with a huge brown head, cascading. A chocolate, ash and roast nose. The overall flavor is toffee, sweet chocolates, milky, vanilla. Solid. Creamy.

Dark brown, nitro head. Chocolately character, very sweet up front but with a touch of balancing hop. Ok, but there are more complex examples in AK.

Growler pour, black beer, creamy walnut colored head. Aroma is roasty malt, coffee, toast, raisin. Flavor is milk chocolate, cherry, rootbeer float. Not as sweet as my description, this has great flavor and balance. The finish is not dry, but it is toasty. Body is smooth and rich, but not thick and syrupy. Carbonation is subdued. I don’t like sticky sweet stouts, this one is a new favorite.
