Hmm. OK beer, one of the worst ’styles’ produced. In the early 2000s everyone made one of these. On tap at Glacier. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. Light berry nose. The flavor is light toast, lemon, berries, sweet. OK.

This was a grumbler purchase from Breeze In, Juneau, AK. Its nice to see Glacier Brewhouse sending some of their brews down this way. This was poured into a pint glass every time about three and a half pours. The appearance was a hazy red color with some slight pinkness to the pour itself. A nice one finger white foamy head did appear for a good minute before it died. There was no lacing at all. The smell had red raspberries coming forth in a sour yet also a decent light sweet way. The taste was slightly balanced between the tart to sweet but more so leaning towards the tart to sour side. There was no aftertaste but it did leave a dry finish. On the palate, it sat fairly light and refreshing and showed a great sessionable quality to it. The carbonation was fairly smooth and withheld any wheat bite whatsoever. Overall, this is more of just a Raspberry Ale to me as I really didn’t get any wheat-ness anywhere. No worries, I still liked it for the most part.

Draft: poured a pinkish orange with white head. Aroma is berry and wheat. Taste is nice raspberry not to strong with grain and light wheat.

Glacier BrewHouse, Anchorage, AK, on tap. More copper the red in color. Little head, no lacing. Aroma of - surprise - raspberries. Not as flavorful, sour or raspberry-y as I expected. No aftertaste. It is OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Reddish amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice fruit like aroma. I get the raspberry aroma and light hops. Very tasty easy drinking fruit beer. Slight tart finish this was good for the masses.

[Tap] Tried this at the brewpub in mid-September. Pours a milky looking amber color with a nice cap of white head on top. Raspberry puree, perfume, wheat malts and mild clove aroma. The taste is of tart raspberries, some sugary peach, mild vanilla, wheaties and Sour Patch Kids candy. Reasonably genuine tasting. The sweet/tart notes are in balance, which is good. Could have used a slightly thicker body, but still a nice beer.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2011 (tap) cloudy pinkish colour (like pink grapefruit juice); aroma is sweet and tart, faint yeast and raspberry notes; flavour is well balanced, refreshing, no artificial notes so common in similar beers; clean finish

6/08/2009: Glacier Brew House Raspberry Wheat is mostly pink in color, but more white towards the bottle of the glass and is cloudy. It has a nice red raspberry aroma and a soft, wheat malt flavor. It is sweet and doesn’t have a ton of raspberry, but some. The finish reminds me of cream of wheat. This is a good wheat beer with plenty of fresh raspberry flavor without being syrupy or overly sweet. However, I think that my wife would of actually preferred more sweetness and raspberry!

Half pint (draught) at the Glacier Brew House in Anchorage, Alaska. Rating #5 for this beer.

Subtle raspberry aroma and little else. Poured a slightly pinkish amber with no head. Wheaty flavor with a decent raspberry cover, lively carbonation in the palate. Moose’s Tooth Raspberry Wheat right across the street is a much better example.
