Commercial Description:
This unfiltered wheat beer is loaded with 210 pounds of real red raspberries. Tart and satiating, this beer is red in color and boasts fruity flavors of - what else - red raspberries. Low bitterness, refreshing, and smooth - perfect for the summer.

Subtle raspberry aroma and little else. Poured a slightly pinkish amber with no head. Wheaty flavor with a decent raspberry cover, lively carbonation in the palate. Moose’s Tooth Raspberry Wheat right across the street is a much better example.

On draft at the brewpub 7/15/05: Hazy pink, like pink grapefruit juice. Nice berry aroma but the flavor’s pretty tart, not very wheaty. Almost pink lemonade.

Cloudy and the color of ruby red grapefruit juice. Ok head. Good raspberry aroma, but not really that strong. A touch of very floral honey. Fresh raspberries in the flavor and it finishes with wheat. Slightly tart from the fruit, but it somehow doesn’t all quite mesh together.

(Draft: Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK) Basically, this is like very watered down fruit juice; Some berry aromas, but lighter than expected; The flavor is very light, some mild spiciness, barely noticeable wheat maltiness, but just mostly a mildly tart red raspberry flavor; The palate is fairly thin, but clean from the tart berry, yet the berry flavor just hangs on too long and gets annoying; The color is that of ruby red grapefruit juice, and fully cloudy; Creamy off-white head has a reddish tint to it, slowly settles to a thin layer, leaving pretty solid lacing
